DAY 10 |
John 3:16 (NLT)
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
1 Corinthians 13 (NLT)
Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love
God’s love started with giving. Loving is about giving. It is the greatest thing we should prioritize ourselves to have. A loving heart is a fertile ground to enable God to pour into us. God gives us the power to love by first understanding His infinite love towards us, receiving His love then loving ourselves as He loves us. It is important we continue to open our hearts so God can love us whole. In return, we will be equipped to love others in truth and healthiness.
Side note: Love can also be done from afar. God does not require us to love our abusers.
God’s love is meant to fill areas in our lives that others cannot fill. Love is vital to prosper in life. God gave infinite love through His son Jesus Christ to have an infinite gift of you. He loves you beyond what you have ever seen. Let God define what true love is. Let His love give you life, so your love can prosper and give life too.
CHALLENGE, PRAYER OR FAST | Meditate on this scripture and on what God has done for you. Study your life and ask God to reveal where you need to give more love to, even if that area is you. Sometimes the love we give out does not equate the love we give ourselves which can lead to feelings of neglect and frustration. Activate your love by taking better steps to improve it. Let these steps be the building blocks of growing your love. Let your love be the announcement people hear when they see you.
