Fear

DAY 4 |

Psalm 128:1 (NKJV)

Blessings of Those Who Fear the Lord

Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.

Proverbs 9:10 (NIV)

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

To Fear God – means to respect and reverence Him. This brings blessings to us because we are focus on God’s ways. It is when we allow fear to control our lives through distraction, toiling in our thinking, anxiety, going in circles… that we move into placing our thoughts above the ways and will of God. The feeling of fear is a normal human feeling but we cannot live prosperous in God and under the burden of fear at the same time. Fear can come from traumas, abuses, or imaginations and it is important to begin to find the root of your fear.

Respond to feelings of fear with Faith so that you can have the courage to walk on the Path created for you. It begins by asking God to help you trust Him over the fear. Next, take steps towards trusting God more and more. Say scripture, pray, replace the negative with the positive, and even go to counseling to assist in not letting the imaginations of fear be the ruler of your life. Work to no longer give fear the power in your life.

CHALLENGE, PRAYER OR FAST | Fast from Fear. Replace the imagination of fear with a positive truth. There are realistic responses we need to have but don’t let it play over and over in your mind. Confront, respond, pray and release through prayer, faith and the guidance of God. We encourage you to get additional positive help in mentorship and/or counseling until you are better equipped to have more victories over fear.
